Fees & Pricing

Insurance

We are out-of-network, and do not accept insurance.

Because we do not accept insurance, we have the freedom to offer a sliding-scale pricing structure in which the person chooses what they can afford based on personal circumstances.

Upon request, we can provide you with a coded insurance receipt (superbill) for you to submit to insurance for direct reimbursement to you.

Some companies provide whole or partial reimbursement.

Cancellation Policy

24 hours; Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the doctors’ day that could have been filled by another patient.

We require a 24-hour notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Patients who provide less than 24 hours will be charged a $25 late cancellation fee.

Return patients who miss their follow-up appointment without notifying the practitioner beforehand will be charged a $45 no call - no show fee.

New Patients who miss their initial appointment without notifying the practitioner beforehand will be charged the full cost of the visit at $85

These fees will be automatically charged to the card on file.

Pricing

Initial New Patient Acupuncture Session: $85

Follow-up Acupuncture Session: Sliding Scale $55 - $85

What is a sliding scale?

A sliding scale pricing structure means that you pay what you can afford along the scale. You decide what you can pay, no questions asked. I trust that you are able to make that determination for yourself.

How is the sliding scale determined?

Sliding scale pricing allows me to place value and emphasis on accessibility.

The high point of the scale is the average cost of acupuncture in Rochester ($85).

The midpoint of the scale is the low-average cost of acupuncture in the area ($70).

The bottom of the scale is the minimum amount that I can charge to cover costs ($55).

I believe cost was never meant to be a barrier to this medicine.
